Executive Director— Dee has worked in the senior living arena for more than 20 years. Originally from Ohio where she attended Ohio-Miami University in Hamilton, she moved to Florida in 1979. She is heavily involved on many committees, including the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Most recently, she was elected as treasurer of the Florida Assisted Living Association. Dee is extremely passionate about her work in senior care and a big proponent of the Veterans Aid and Attendance Program.
Business Office Manager— Carola Gonzales is the Business Office Manager at RiverView Senior Resort, where she handles financial operations. She maintains and ensures that accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly billing run smoothly.
Carola has over 20 years’ experience in the Health Care field and over 15 years’ experience as a Business Office Manager. She attended the University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelor’s in Health Service Administration and Masters in Health Informatics. She is currently ALF Core trained and passed her competency test.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and running. She also spends her free time going on new adventures with her two children.
Director of Plant Operations— Steve takes great pride in his role as a Director of Plant Opertations at RiverView. His goal is to know all of the residents on a first name basis. Nobody is ever just a number or a stranger to him. His is an outdoorsman and a father of two boys, Leland, who is 7, and Sterling, who was born March 4, 2019. He grew up in Brevard County, met his wife at Melbourne High School, and he intends to raise his children here. He loves his Country, his family and this community.
Director of Culinary Services— Chef Todd Bartlett has been cooking in restaurants since he was 14. He entered into healthcare in 2007 in skilled nursing, which he says was a great learning place. In 1999, he was a consultant for a contractor building a restaurant in an old barn. It was an amazing experience to be part of that. In 2012, he was Executive Chef at an Assisted Living/ Memory Care and the owner of the company asked him to consult on the kitchen, bar, and dining room design. As a Regional Dining Service Director he wrote Policies and Procedures for the company as well as trained the Directors to run their buildings Dietary Department.
Chef Todd joined Riverview Senior Resort in October of 2018 and thoroughly enjoys coking delicious meals for the residents as well as working with an amazing Management Team and Dining Department employees.
Director of Life Enrichment— Jackie’s career in Life Enrichment began in 1999 as a second career. While assisting in the Physical Therapy department at an assisted living center, she was recruited to establish an activities program for the community. There she found her passion and has never looked back! She then went on to direct activities at a secured Alzheimer’s and dementia facility. While there, she completed the state modular education program for activity professionals, MEPAPI and II, studied under Dr. Cameron Camo, Dementia Specialist in Montesori-based activities and became a certified dementia practitioner the NCCDP. Jackie is also certified through the American College of Sports Medicine and the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. Jackie has established comprehensive, creative and life enriching programs for seniors at several assisted living centers in Brevard and Volusia counties, and now calls RiverView her home!
Assistant Director of Life Enrichment— Evelyn is originally from a small town in Massachusetts. She has lived in Florida for over twenty years. Her education consists of a general Associate of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida. Her passion is making a difference in other people’s lives. She has spent a lifetime volunteering for several organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Boys and Girls Club of America. Evelyn would like to continue creating a life-journey filled with heartfelt ventures and extraordinary impressions.
Director of Environmental Services— Melinda is originally from Wisconsin and grew up with five brothers. She moved to Georgia in 1979 and began volunteering at a nursing home in 1997. It was then when she found her calling in serving residents with compassion and respect, and continues to this very day. Melinda enjoys fishing, camping, going to the beach and living in Florida.
Sales & Marketing Director— Laurie’s career spans 33 years in center-based, Regional and VP roles of sales, marketing and business development in the senior living and commercial/industrial real estate sectors. Her ‘solution-based’ passion and focus in the senior living industry centers on educating clients and their families of the various levels of serve and extended lifestyles options available in the market today.
Having navigated through the healthcare and senior living options with her own parents for many years, Laurie knows first-hand the challenges, fears, and questions our seniors and their families experience during these times. Having been a resident of Brevard County for most of her life, her goal is to approach each scenario on a personal level, allowing her to align individual needs with resources available within the community.

Community Relations Director— Since moving to Brevard County in 1995, Janet has been an active member of the community. She has served in leadership positions with the Florida Wildlife Hospital, Gemini and Westshore PTOs, Friends of the Melbourne Beach Library and Daily Bread, Inc.
Her experience includes development, non-profit and event management as well as program management. Before joining RiverView Senior Resort, Janet served as director of a caregiver support program for 6 years, providing services to seniors and their family caregivers.
Janet holds a BS in Business Administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia.
In her free time Janet enjoys spending time with her family and rescue animals, Fiona and Max.
